Tracktion4 stops recording

I am using T4.5.6. I am using a computer that is an i7;8 core 3.4mhz with 24mb. The soundboard is a Mackie 2404-VLZ3. The computer OS is Windows 8
I have been using T4 for 4 months without a problem. Last month T4 started pausing indiscriminately while recording. To restart all you have to do is press record again.
Any suggestion on how fix this will be appreciated
