Unable to drag and drop plugins or clips in Tracktion 5.3.14 for Linux

Hi there,

Has anyone else had this same problem? When I attempt to drag and drop a plugin to an output or if I attempt to drag and drop a clip to a track in the timeline, the dragged icon just jumps back and doesn't allow me to do so. Very weird. The only way I can add a plugin to a track is to right-click the volume/pan plugin on the track and choose 'add new plugin'.

I'm using Ubuntu 4.10 / Unity. Other than this Tracktion works just great.

Thanks,
Russ

Update: To add clips, I can drag from the desktop straight into Tracktion, but not from Tracktion's own left-pane.

I have the exact same problem, I'm glad it's not just me.

Same here on KxStudio (Ubuntu with KDE)

Same here, since last update (5.3.14)
You can't always get what you waaaant...

You also can't rearrange the order of plugins so this is kind of a serious issue since the entire interface is based on this way of working.

Hopefully it's fixed soon.

Same issue here.

I was told to use the previous version and it was being fixed. Loaded previous version and working now.

So it means there are no beta-testers for linux? :o

This is fixed in the next build - it was actually a Juce bug :)

You can help beta test the Linux version by downloading your own free beta Linux package here

Could someone please suggest 'best practice' for dropping back to the previous version until these drag/drop features are fixed.

Uninstall 5.3.14
Install 5.3.9

Slick!

In a terminal

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get remove tracktion
Double click on the install file TracktionInstall_5_3_9_Linux_64Bit.deb

And I'll get back with the rest once I get it going again.
