8.2.0 problems

So it seems that the latest version of Waveform does not work with WAVES instrument plugs.

Every time I load a WAVES plug, 32-bit Waveform does a poof crash???

What am I missing

What are the extra screens about content???

Make sure that you load your plug ins as straight VST. VST3 doesn't work for me.

Some issues can take a while to track down.

And just as a heads up, my Waves plugins seem to be working fine in 64 bit Waveform. If it's possible for you to load up the 64 bit version and give things a whirl, it might provide a clue about whether this is a 32 bit issue, or something specific to how the plugs are installed on your machine.

Specifically which Waves plugins don't work? They make loads, I use various ones (not loads) fine in Waveform, although they're mostly not instrument plugs. Compressors, reverb, doublers, that kind of thing.

Just the instruments... like Clavinet, and all the pianos.

I resent the plug from the waves website and still no go.

I also updated the 64-bit version of Waveform to 8.2.0 and still the DAW poof crashes the moment the plug attempts to load. ??????????????????

I've just installed the demo of Waves Clavinet, to see what happens on my machine, and in 64 bit Waveform 8.2.0 on Windows 10, when you insert Clavinet onto a track, Waveform crashes to desktop, and writes this to the Waveform8Log.txt;

No problemo - I hope TSC gets it sorted soon. I've asked them if they need additional info but have not heard from them for a while.

When it crashes like this, Waveform drops a .dmp file in the logs directory, as shown in my log output above. I've sent 4 of those over to support, in case they help. Looks like it's pretty easy to replicate, so hopefully fixable, maybe with a bit of help from the Waves devs (no idea how easy it is to get them involved...)
