I think it is difficult to find the 8 and 16th note when changing the loop length.
I think it would looke nice if you could have the steps numberd with a transparent number or to have the grids in different colors so that it is easier to find the right 4,8,16 block etc.

Yes I cold make the numbers bigger and visible even though there is no data in step.
