although: it is more fun to have the drums in the context
of a kit if you are messing with patterns.

it could make a very nice 808type BD with some
extra attention, sort of super808 BD.
recently got into the Yamaha RX5 kicks: very dry
tight hard kicks.
maybe a dedicated Kick/BD module?
the TomCat in Orion can be pretty good: 3 osc,
which lets you use an osc to give the body of the
sound and another to define the hit, with another
spare(that i never use)
Ok My English is a little bit bad or just bad Learned it my self

I think your English is fairly good. Understandable, really. :) All that matters is that your point is coming through! :D

And it's been so long since I've seen you post something new! I think I'll wait for the next release, but squee! :D

cheers odo, Can't wait to give it a go and how it develops. Drum synthesis is about the only sort of synthesis I have any luck with. I like the original demo like mztk/Dom said, Hey Dom STYS mate, Its been too long :)

All the best

Do you want volume curves ? (contour)

Just tried the plug in Reaper (32 bits in a 64 bits win 7) and the volume on the kick and snares is so loud it triggers the automute function, really got to go very very low in the volume so it doesn't trigger it. Same in Ableton Live except it doesn't have an automute, it just shows db over the max

If you mean volume envelopes I think it's necessary.

If you mean more like volume automations in the sequencer, it would be neat if we could automate all parameters.

Post

Thanks for testing I use renoise and the volume is ok But I'll change it 50% ?
One thing can you try this Turn the volume down and then up Is the volume then lower.

since we are talking about drums, thought i'd share this
little insight: picked up an old HR16 nice'n'cheap the
other day, had one 15yrs ago and loved the programming.
sounds are a bit strange compared to what we seek out
usually, but it does a couple of interesting things:
you can stack sounds really easily, with the 'copy pad'
function; so you can add a detuned tom to a kick and
so on, and it gets quite interesting. burnkit2600 does
a(excellent) replacement eeprom for the sounds, but why would you
want all drum machines to sound the same? it lacks
control over decay, the main problem. might venture to
do a minor patchbay style mod on it, if there's anything
there to address the issue. just happy to get it back really.

other good things it does: sticking patterns together, shifting
clock on individual drums, 'fill' button, with all timings, and
shuffle values, exclusive pad group for the 3 hihat pads, which
can have any sound assigned. good little machine.

Well it's not a matter of 50%, for example the snare's default is max volume and goes to +27db on a fader set to 0db. To prevent the snare from clipping I have to put the volume to the minimum, hold ctrl and raise slowly. Turning the volume down then up doesn't make it lower. With default settings it happens on all sounds except the hihat.

recorded into audio editor a little section with just kick:
it goes up over 4 beats, have a look. the positive phase is
much higher than negative, and on the 4th there is a spike
'downwards'.

i think having a drift over time can be quite interesting,
over a very long period eg: 16+bars, it can come up through
a mix driving the thing along. for hihats, having a bit of
filter modulation at a fast rate give something extra, i
remember from an old analogue module i had(and should never
have sold!!!)
