Synthedit: MIDI note to control the cutoff frequency?

Hello!

I am a beginner with Synthedit and I would like to use the MIDI note to control the cutoff frequency of a filter – in an exact equivalence note-frequency. So an A4 key would set the cutoff frequency to 440Hz, etc.

Do you have any idea if this can be made and some tips to build it?

Thank you! :phones:

the cutoff on the built-in filter modules can respond in 1V/KHz or 1V/Oct
so the Pitch signal from the MIDItoCV module is in "1V/Oct" you can directly connect it to the filter cutoff then
however, whether the cutoff (resonant frequency i assume) would really be at the right frequency depends on the actual filter algorithm and its coefficients tuning
older filter implementations (from the musicdsp archive, etc..) didn't really come with proper coefficients tuning (which requires some extra step to be fixed)
so if the filter doesn't really resonate at the "right" frequencies - try another filter module

the zdf/tpt implementations (which appear lately, and iirc even in the form of SE modules now) would surely be tuned properly, so you have high chances of getting the desired behaviour directly with such a filter
It doesn't matter how it sounds..
..as long as it has BASS and it's LOUD!
