With the prices of used G2's, it really surprises me that Nord doesn't release an updated version of this. I know not everyone is into modulars with as much capabilities or even modulars at all, but finding one of these used is difficult for reasonable prices, then I think you have to run older PC for software to work exactly as expected.
I think more than a few would be interested in an updated release of this amazing modular.

It's difficult to say what the demand would be for a G3. Obviously the G2 was not popular enough to sustain development. This is a different world now, especially since Eurorack went mainstream, so perhaps there is a larger audience now. At the same time, they have to compete against software-only and hardware-only solutions, and their hybrid approach may prove to be less accessible for the majority of potential users. I still love my G2, and I wish they would make a new one, but I realize that I've never exactly been part of the mainstream.
