upright bass---one stroke=multiple notes

Great upright bass sound! I have been experimenting for hours and cannot stop multiple notes from recording when I hit one key on keyboard. In other words, I play one note but on playback hear a few double notes. Can anyone please tell me how to affect that in the settings or main?
