great, thanks a bunch standalone and Lotuzia. usually automate within Logic, but this could be useful.
Hi Michael,

yes I take the occasion to try to explain more in details the differences between host automation and MidiLinks as we made them :

* In a MidiLink you can assign a Midi Controller, like Mod Wheel, to SEVERAL parameters. So you can make complex or simple, like Cut Off + Rez + Volume , real time control with the same controler. Wich is impossible with host automation.

* A MidiLink can have mimimal and maximal value, ie again for a simple Cut Off you can decide to automate it from the default value to augmented or diminished choosen values. Host automation usually will vary the parameter between 0 and 127 ( Minimum and max values). This doesnt only allow you to make more "subtle" modulations, this is also the ability to be able to revert to the base-default value of the parameter without hassle, ie have a stable preset.

* A MidiLink is available immediatly each time you use a preset, you dont have to set up some special things with automation, and this is the assurance to get the same instrument, with all its real time features, each time you'll use it.

* Some hosts show exposed parameters with real weird names like evf1 or, worse, P1246, so it save you time trying to figure out, or remember, the the P1246 is on fact the decay of the filter enveloppe. :)

* Some hosts dont display all parameters, and/or are limited to 128 parameters. MidiLinks can access all parameters.

* Some musicians are not familiar with host automation, some hosts handle host automation, copies and pastes in hazardous ways.(or tedious to use)

But, in the end, I think that the more important feature of our MidiLink is that it will give musicians an opportunity to have some real time modulations that they woundnt have choosen themselves ( Ie you could have choosen to automate Cut Off + Rez when we choose to map Filter Enveloppe + Filter Velocity sensitivity ) : So these are just additional possibilities added to pure host automation, optional choices, more liberty, more fun and joy of playing available with a single Mouse Click :)

SOooOoo I'd say that MidiLinks dont compete with host automation, they just compliment it in a hopefully nice way :)

Hi folks,

We're very pleased to announce a new audio demo for the Nec Plus Ultra bank on our site :

12/12/2009 UA1 EDM Demo by Mr Rob Lee :tu: :-o :D

Rob did an awesome work to demonstrate the versatility of Nec Plus Ultra, using the instruments in the most contemporary and energizing musical genres.

Its always a pure happyness for us, Sound Designers, to discover what talented people can do with our instruments, and probably the greatest reward we can get. I was just amazed by these demos : Just listen to the more_zan_a_teebee basses :o

Hope you will enjoy this new track, wich reveals unseen possibilities of Ultra Analog.

As always, all comments and questions welcomed :)

Thanks ROB

Thanks for reading/listening, and have a wonderful day.

I couldn't resist either! Though I think I should have set my currency to USD *before* checking out. Whoops! Oh, well! Still a bargain! Love the demos!
GreyLord wrote:Yep, received without problems :).

Lol, I wish we could have some snow over here, in Barcelona, but I guess we're too close to the sea for that :(.

Only clouds and low temperatures (at least compared to what we are used to).

Keep up the good work and thanks for this amazing sale, Laurent.

And Merry Christmas! ;)

I have to say that I'm not necessarily the biggest preset fan. Meaning, that I much prefer to roll my own. But there are a couple sound programmers whose work I do get excited about and whose patches I find eminently useful. Amongst other things, it's always a learning experience to look at your patches and see how certain things were done - as well as being just plain fun to play and a definite timesaver since most of these sounds are sounds that I can immediately hear uses for within my compositions.

Le Lotus Bleu is definitely at the top of that list!

Many thanks, guys.

Also, a hearty and LOUD endorsement to those of you who are on the fence. Get these now while they are at such a great price. This is one case where the blurb on the website is exactly correct... for $11.90 in this case it's like you're getting a whole new synth! You won't regret it!!!
WOW !

Well

A BIG Thank You Sequent

Congrats, gentlemen, you were the last to order the soundset with the introductory price :)

The Nec + Ultra is now available for its Msrp Price.

Thanks to all Kvrians who supported us. Deeply appreciated !

Hi Michael2,

Yeah,

Great classic Rock/Pop song :tu: . Reminds me of classical Pop of the late 60s or early 70s, but with a modern sound.

If you want me to link to your Songs Page on our site, just Pm me or drop us a mail.

I can't put a direct link cos the mp3 is embedded into the player, but I can make a link to the site page. Maybe this would increase your traffic and allow more people to discover your music ? You decide :)

Thanks for the track, its always a big moment when listening to tracks using our instruments :D :D :D
