New instruments:
All owners of a license to version 1.1 who also own a license to Scattered Entity Vol. 1 can upgrade for € 9 EUR on this page.

*Multisampled ship and tibetan bells
*Bell textures made with other bells from my collection

Argh, and I don't get paid until Thursday! I have to wait!
*edit* I lied - turns out I have enough to upgrade my current Metallurgy - JUST BARELY. Hot dogs and Ramen noodles the rest of the week, but worth it!

I juggled some numbers and came up with it today! I'll just skip pizza and beer tonight and re-schedule it for Thursday (lol)!
Sometimes, I suffer for my art!
Downloading now - thanks for the fast response! Going to go home tonight, eat my sesame bean thread bowl noodles, and have some serious fun with this!

Thank you - so the internet up in the mountains is faster now but it costs more?BBFG# wrote:New ISP,so I have to wait until the wee hours of the morning to download for free, but it's worth the update price and it will be done.
Thanks for the great patches!

Supposedly. But I went back to satellite since they give me twice the download limit for the same price and add a 'free download time zone' on top of that. (2AM-6AM... sigh). The cons are, if the power goes out, or the weather suddenly turns bad, the connection is lost. But the Mifi ISP I had started adding a multiplier of 10 to every connection. A twenty minute visit to this forum would result in 60MB and a 10MB file download would show up as 100MB.Sampleconstruct wrote:Thank you - so the internet up in the mountains is faster now but it costs more?BBFG# wrote:New ISP,so I have to wait until the wee hours of the morning to download for free, but it's worth the update price and it will be done.

Now I have to figure out a cheaper solution to connect my studio at the top of the mountain too. I only connect up there for C/R or other authorizations or when certain companies like XLN demands to only download to the actual computer it will be used on. Otherwise, the connection is pulled and a batch file turns off all the background services related to it. So I'm looking for something more minimal to use up there.
And the guys at Camel were very helpful in changing my IPA range to accomodate all this.

Hmmm, sounds annoying, but there must be a price to pay for living in a probably pretty special and also beautiful environment. Still I don't quite understand why in 2014 all of this couldn't be more hassle-free, even in more deserted areas of the planet. I mean the net has been around for a while and we all seem to depend on it.

It is special in many regards and does end up costing us more in certain 'luxeries of our time'. The scenery and sounds are usually extraordinary, but we had two major fires this last year which make it all very surreall right now.Sampleconstruct wrote:Hmmm, sounds annoying, but there must be a price to pay for living in a probably pretty special and also beautiful environment. The funny thing is we see the different companies coverage maps and they all include us, until you zoom in and see what appears to be a blank pinhole in the map... we live in that pinhole - ha!
I still drive to town and use my wife's work fios to download at their speeds (sometimes it goes as fast as 8MBPS). A decent exchange since I do most of their IT work for free. Somehow, it eventually works out (mostly).
Mifi = I got 750kbps - 1mbps
Satellite = I'm getting 1.2 -1.5 mbps
In town Fios = I get anywhere from 500kbps - 8mbps
Of course, my friends in town get to facebook and forum for free. So I'm limited there, but I don't see that to be as much of a problem as they do.

Hi Simon,
bought the update, but haven't heard back from you. Could it be that you sent me a mail but it was lost? (Can't find it in the spam folder, though...)
Just in case you need my info, I could PM you. Sorry if I sound impatient, but I am eager to try this one!
Best,
TQ
