Annual Subscription for Iris Presets Iris 2

Post

Since the release of iZotope's Iris in April 2012 I created 725 Iris 1 patches and 600 Iris 2 patches (converted and original), including 17+ GB of original samples.

I got Iris the day it was released as it immediately inspired me and led me to sonic places I hadn't been before. My Iris patches focus on ethereal and cinematic soundscapes, dark and eery drone sounds, more experimental textures, sounds dervied from acoustic instruments, vocal textures and the occasional synth- and drumloop. Most samples were created especially for this Iris collection, some were taken form the vast pool of samples I have created for my various soundsets. All included samples are produced in 48 Khz/24 Bit.

Get the annual subscription to my Iris 1+2 presets for an entrance fee of € 120 EUR (paypal) and receive new patches for the duration of 1 year. You can renew your subscription after one year for the fixed price of € 45 EUR and I will contact each subscriber 10 days before the expiration of the subscription. If you don't want to renew, the subscription just ends with no further obligations. Iris 2 subscribers (currently € 99 EUR per year) can renew their subscription with a 30% discount of the current Iris 2 subscription price.

New subscription sets are released every 5-7 weeks, download links are then sent to all subscribers automatically.
All samples involved are embedded in the presets using the "Export"-function in the Iris Browser. Just create a folder in your Iris Library->Patches named "patchpool" and drag the downloaded patches inside that folder to access the presets. Or just drop the entire download folder into "Iris Library->Patches".

A patchlist with detailed descriptions is included in the download folder(s).

Please note: Most of this collection was programmed in Iris version 1, the patches are currently only partially compatible with Iris 2, modulation and controller assignments mostly translate to version 2 but have to be adjusted and re-edited somewhat in many cases. I am in the process of converting all 700+ patches at the moment and have already distributed 600 Iris 2 patches (including numerous original I2 presets) to all subscribers. As of April 2018 I decided to only create patches for Iris 2 in the future. More info on this topic can be found in the iZotope knowledgebase.

Downloads
All new subscribers can download the 725 available patches in one RAR-archive with 18 parts for better download handling - 17.05 GB uncompressed - 12+ GB compressed. The 600 Iris 2-patches (with 15.41 GB of samples) are also available as a compressed download archive.

Current entrance fee for 725 patches/17+ Gigabyte of samples: € 120 EUR (paypal). For users who only want the Iris 2-patches, there is a dedicated PayPal button for € 99 EUR.

Highly recommended. Simon does a great job bringing out the best of this synth. It's a dirty job but someone has to do it :)

Here is a video of creating a new Iris patch using a processed field recording of a singing bird which I recorded last summer in the fields. The soundscape used combines strangely reverbrated birds with metasynthed spectralized birddrones in the low frequency range so there is plenty to choose from and carve out:

This patch will be part of the next subscription set to be released soonish.

Simon, you made my cat go crazy with this piece. She really wants me to buy the subscription. (You include the bird's bodies, right?) But, will now need to replace the cat-scratched LCD screen instead.

Maybe in future you could display a warning for us cat staffers before we hit the play button. :D
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

Coincidentally I recently made an Alchemy patch with a recording of a nightingale morphing into a human voice.

I could test each patch with my cats, but usually very early in the morning is my time with Iris and the lazy boys are still asleep, maybe I can change the schedule :)

Nice move - can we hear it?

Here's a piece I've been working on that uses it (4 instances of the same patch, moving between different variations, nothing else) - bit rough still:

Demo for two Iris patches from the upcoming Subscription Set No. 22 - "Container Music" and "Bird Encounter" - the bird patch is the one from the video above, "Container Music" uses the snippet of a field recording I recorded for a film project in a russian harbour in 2011, the discharging of containers with nice tonal metal squeaks:
