Hi,
I am going to sum your issues up with a one liner. The way the API is and its current deficiencies, I would consider this script beta in the sense of "workflow completeness".
I use it as well and there are some things it does not do the same as Ableton which once we get a more complete API impl from Bitwig, I am going to raise on the issue/feature list on Github.
So just try and deal with a couple weird things right now. Its really to complicated to explain why everything doesn't work like Abelton when at the moment we can't really make it work like Ableton because of the missing API.
As far as your question about controller to user interface binding, yes this is top priority for me to get in, I don't like it either.
BTW if you would like to create a simple github account and add these bugs/features to the list, I can pretty much guarantee we will fix them, being buried here, they might get over looked.

Been trying out the Push script... obviously lots of stuff is incomplete, but I did want to praise that the step sequencer responds to velocity! yes!
In Live it stupidly only sends one velocity

Finally tried the Moßgraber Push controller script out tonight. Very very promising.
Thanks for all of your hard work on this!

Hi,
I made some major beta adjustments to the script. If there are some users out there that get it from the github repo, try it out and let me know if you see any problems.
Notably;
- Volume, Pan, Send, Track and Device all follow Ableton's recarm/track select and mute paradigm.
- Flip is fixed in session mode.
- VUs are temporarily turned off because of performance, script runs 5x faster because of this.
- [Shift + TopRow] rec arms, double press selecting tracks rec arms.
- Auto scroll through tracks, and Session while holding down arrow buttons.
Maybe some other things, but I have to run a couple things by Jurgen to see if some up coming changes will be implemented.

I'm going to start using the script any day now so would rather wait until after any major change. So I'm just curious how this behavior is different now?TeotiGraphix wrote: - Volume, Pan, Send, Track and Device all follow Ableton's recarm/track select and mute paradigm.

The bottom row was rec arm, there was no track muting other than the selected track + mute button press.Echoes in the Attic wrote:I'm going to start using the script any day now so would rather wait until after any major change. Really it was just a side affect of the initial implementation. I had to refactor some things in the modes to reimplement it this way.
Nothing else is going to change in major ways, I am just thinking about a 3rd row like Ableton has where it shoes current track, plus allows the ability for tooltip like messages. It would mean making the second row show settings on encoder touch, IE Ableton.
I think I might end up writing 2 different impls where users can switch, the way it is you see the bars and values at the same time(unlike Ableton).
But the value of the 2nd row touch reveal means the 3rd row can be used for information without fudging the current view in the display.

I just picked up Push today running your Script. It works really well. Just a quick question though is it possible to access and edit each cell or pad in DrumMachine. So for example if i load kick, clap and a hi hat can I access the Sampler parameters for each pad in DrumMachine and detune edit ADSR with Push and not have to teak with mouse. I can do it with the Sampler on an individual track. Hope I explained this right.
Thanks Kindly

Not yet, we are still waiting on API from Bitwig, but you will be able to once we get sub device navigation.Pprimo wrote:I just picked up Push today running your Script. It works really well. Thanks for the quick reply and help. So far so good though. I ended up returning my Maschine MK2 and exchanged it for the Push unit so I hope I made the right move. .........I think I did anyways !!!!!!

Moss, you got the wrong url in for the repo.
One other one that looks like it missed the feature list is the mute/solo/rec arm work like Ableton now, where the Mute and Solo buttons put the 2nd row in its respective mode.
Double tap on a 1st row button rec arms or disengages. [Shift + 1st] Rec arms multiple tracks.
