Hi folks,
I have a preenFM hw synth I built a couple of months ago that I'd like to use with a Linnstrument. While the synth itself does not support MPE (I don't think), would it be possible to stick something like Logic in between the Linnstrument and the synth to essentially add MPE support instead of plain midi?

What exactly are you missing concerning MPE and PreenFM?
It's possible to map operators frequency to follow full 24 semitones of Pitch Bend but you need two modulation slots because there's limited maximum mod amount in one slot. Adding another slot will ADD to the existing modulation.
Other parameters can be easily mapped to Y and Z in mod matrix. Then you just need to save the preset and copy it over to remaining 3 voices which is pretty quick button sequence.
Edit: You also need to set PreenFM MIDI channels, i.e. 1-4 and set those on Linnstrument's ChanPerNote mode.
