Hi,
I recorded loops with the internal recorder as audio files and tried to drag them into the arranger of the DAW. I tried this with Studio One v3 and Reaper 5 - it does not work for me.
With recorded midi files it works. I can drag them into the DAWs arranger windows and everything works fine. But with audio loops...nope.
Crawled through the manual and forums, google... but did not find any hint.
Maybe someone can help me with this.
I am using Strike 2.0.5 x64 with Windows 7 x64 as VST2 plugin. My DAWs are Studio One 3.0.2 and Reaper 5.0
Best,
Kristian

Apologies we missed this its always best to reach out directly to us although we try to monitor this as regularly as possible. Our team here is trying to re-produce this problem. I suspect you may have a permissions issue where the system user does not have full rights to the folders required.

Hi,
I posted here because I thought thay maybe other users have seen this problem too and maybe know a quick fix for it.
I doubt that this is a permission issue as my normal account has admin privileges but I will double check this in the evening.
How does the audio recording in Strike work? Is the audio saved to a temp file somewhere on the harddisk or is it stored in the RAM?

We have evaluated this issue in our test lab, I can confirm it seems to be an issue with Reapers workflow we have reported this to the developers. Cubase and Live however should be working perfectly. A quick workaround would be to drag the recording to the desktop and after this dragging it into the Reaper timeline from there.

I tested it and here on my PC I am not able to drag an recorded audio file from Strike to Reaper, StudioOne and Tracktion 6 and also not to the desktop.
When I single-click on the small waveform display it says "Now drop audio file!". Then I drag it to DAWs arranging view or the desktop and nothing happens. Also the mouse cursor does not change as it normally happens when you drag and drop something in Windows.
Another thing I saw was that sometimes when I click on the tiny waveform display in the recorder the waveform disappears. Only a straight line remains. This does not happen on every click. It is not really reproducable.
