I'll be formally launching KClip 2 later today, but for now, you guys can download it from the user area (assuming you own a license, anyway.)

Enjoy!

Is it normal that my metering area is so small ?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

You loaded the surround version.

I see...it replaced the first installation I was looking for another plugin... :ud:

I think the problem, for me anyway, is it has the same name as KClip 1 (kclip.dll) but installs in to a different location (a subfolder of your selected folder). In Reaper, this does not always show up as a new plugin and hence, the only "new" one is the surround version. I renamed kclip.dll to kclip2.dll, did a rescan and it showed up correctly.

Don't rename it. KClip is an upgrade that should be written over the old plugin, so all your current projects get updated with the new version.

So just overwrite the DLL manually.

Yes, I'll do that properly, this was a quick fix just to get it to show up in Reaper (and explain why the OP only saw the Surround version)!

There is a little CPU hit with this version so it's not a 100% replacement (0.6% -> 0.9% with no oversampling) but I guess that's trivial really. Worth it too.

CPU usage should be the same if you close the plugin window. The metering does take some CPU in addition to GPU. :)

Impossibru! Open a support ticket if you need any help with your account.

In any case, you can just download the installer off the main site and authorize it as per the instructions in the manual. It's the same installer either way.

Also, installer is still a bit messed up... 64-bit Windows VST installer places its uninstaller in the 32-bit VST folder (instead of Program Files or ProgramData)...

There's exactly no good reason for that, wow. Will look into it. Thanks! :tu:

I don't have the stereo Kclip 2 64 bit version in the installer. Only Surround 64 Bit and Kclip 1. Uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. My 32 bit version of Kclip2 is Kclip 1. Also the 32 bit dll should be marked as x86 to avoid confusion with the 64 bit version.

Delete KClip 1, in that case... sounds like the installer wasn't allowed the proper permissions to overwrite the file.

Uh, no. Just, no...

You shouldn't mix and match 32 and 64 bit VSTs in the same folder, ever, under any circumstances.
