Postby j_ahn3; Sat Jul 29, 2017 11:56 pm A 6505+/JVM/Mk5 module for Thermionik?

Hi Shane

I was wondering if there is any possibility of there being a Peavey 6505+, a Marshall JVM, or a Mesa Mk 5 module for Thermionik any time soon. I am really hoping for a 6505+ module specifically because I did hear that many bands that I know of have all used the 6505 or 6505+ and it's a bit saddening that I did not get a chance to actually dial a 6505+ tone yet. I know there is the 5150 but to me the two amps just don't feel the same.

Thanks,
Joonho

Is a 5150 II exactly the same thing as the 6505 though...

OHHH He used his own 6505 for that amp?! Oh I didn't know! I'm so sorry. >.<

Wait, 5150 got changed to 6505 due to Eddie van Halen starting EVH?! O_O

Dang, I always thought they were two different amps...

Anyway, I really think there should be more than just those 30 Thermionik Modules. I'm thinking something like the Randall Satan or a Blackstar.

Thanks,
Joonho

Nope, they're pretty much the same.

While we are wishing for more things Shane, I'm hoping for more pedals (compressors, tremolo, delay, reverb...ect) and something like a rack or something to keep the signal chain more simple :D I hate having so many plugins open when trying to dial in a sound, especially when all the plugins look so similar. I haven't used axe-edit myselt, but seen it on many videos and really like the clean look of it. So maybe something kinda like that would be awesome!!

Honestly I'd like to see a Misha Mansoor Precision Drive made into a Thermionik module. I'd definitely buy that.

Thanks,

The Peavey 6505 is the same thing as the 5150. The 6505+ is the same thing as the 5150 II. Between Psycho A, B, and C, you have every major variation of the EVH 5150 line over time emulated in Thermionik (with the exception of low wattage models, combos, limited editions, alternate power tube versions, etc.)

I am working on more amp and pedal models. Thanks for the suggestions - most of them are already on my list to model at some point down the road.

Hi Shane

Thanks for your reply! I'll be looking forward to those! I'm hoping for more variety in the brands though.

By the way, the things you're working on, does that include the Precision Drive?

Also, I've been using your plugins a lot for the albums I have been working on. The Duality 3ch and the Fueled Blue are really top notch.

Thanks,
Joonho

Thanks for the kind words!

I'm not going to comment on what specific gear may or may not be modeled until we are closer to release. I haven't even made my mind up yet as to what to finish first, but there are a lot of things in the works.

Hi Shane,

Great to hear a new release is in the works. Do you know roughly how many more releases there's likely to be for us VIP owners?

I'm shooting for 5 more amps and 5 more FX for VIPs. After that, you guys will still qualify for substantial discounts on future products and major upgrades, etc.

Hi Shane

Sorry for the delay, but is there a way that I may be able to join the VIP list?

Thanks,
Joonho
