Hi Bitwigglers!

I implemented a controller script which allows to use the Arturia Beatstep controller with Bitwig. It supports to control track parameters, devices, transport, session view, play the pads and has a drum and note sequencer.

Hey thanks very much for this. I'm curious about the drum sequencer..how does it work, it doesn't use the sequencer in the beatstep does it? Does it just make a midi track that you program a step at a time?

The documentation was a bit sparse so far. I improved it now:

Hi I have installed your beatstep script
But the BIG KNOB to change the mode does not work
I can only use the 1st first mode ?

Am I missing something or doing something wrong
I am on bitwig v116

First off, thank you so much for all of your effort to develop and document this script. It turns the Beatstep into quite an awesome, and portable, Bitwig controller. (Particularly awesome since I scored the Beatstep on sale at Guitar Center for $60. Woo!)

I'm having a bit of an issue on my system that I hoped you could shed some light on...

Using Bitwig 1.1.10, Beatstep Firmware 1.1, and either the released or Github master branch version of the BeatStep4Wig and the Beatstep template, I cannot play any notes. Play mode doesn't work, Drum mode doesn't work... None of them. Everything else seems to work just fine.

If I play the notes on another controller, I SEE the Beatstep lighting up appropriately in play mode, but it refuses to trigger anything.

Is there something I can check on my system? Am I the only one with this issue?

I have Maschine4Bitwig running alongside BeatStep4Bitwig, and it can trigger things just fine. Very odd!

Moss I am wondering how on the Sequencer part I can use it like it is used as a plain step Sequencer mode. I just wan to use the default values in this part to control Sequencing and use the nobs to control the notes. Can this be done ? I love all the other pages you made , Play , drums, session etc but in Sequencer mode i want to be able to use the nobs to change pitch of notes.
