I've just completed my first track seriously using Zebra 2. It uses five Zebra 2 instances, for everything except the percussion (which is done using Jamstix playing RMIV). The track is Garden of Lumps.

Very nice stuff. Creative use of sounds and lots of stuff going on. The only unsatisfying thing to me is that a in a couple of places you go to a new key and it sounds like everyone is just shifting their parts, rather than playing something new in the new key. Other than that, coolness all around.

Its been a month since last post here so i'll BUMP it with something from my blog:

I've been playing a bit with creating Zebra guitar like patches, my hope is to come up with an El-Guitar, a Western Guitar, a Spanish Guitar and a 12 String Western Guitar, not as 100% replica thou but close enough to give the vibe from using a guitar.

I found a MIDI file of Cavatina (Deer Hunter Theme) on the net and had it play the patches as they are atm. I try to keep things simple so each patch is 1 OSC and 1 VCF using additive waveforms and OSC FX to alter the body.

Left side is El-Guitar, Middle is Western and Right side is Spanish. The spanish one will be the hardest to get right.

Besides that i'm working on a Wurlitzer/Rhodes thing but its a tough one :)

altho that tune will grab me with just about any patch, I gotta say your patches make it pretty haunting, nevermind that they are "guitar inspired"

Yow. Those are some cool guitar sounds.

Sideways bump for a tune I posted in another thread.

That was beautiful, Vic. My curiosity was piqued enough to check out Butch Hall's website (but I'd better put off exploring a new instrument until the next project or I'll never get the current CD done!).

The first track currently in my Myspace player, "The God of Speed," is probably 75% Zebra (with Stylus RMX and a bit of NI Massive and Korg Wavestation in there too). I think I had around 18 instances of Z2 in it (many of them are performing fairly subtle tasks, like a single percussion sound, or a texture that only comes in for a couple of measures). I seem to remember using a number of things from the Transmission sound set on this one ("Sub Ether" is one of my all-time favorite patches). You won't find the fretless bass sound in any Z2 banks, of course...that would be the mildly battered Ibanez ATK fretless I recently picked up on eBay, LOL.

I been using it on my newer tracks and a couple of my older ones. Not all my older ones because I sold it but later bought it back.

Hi. I'm at http://www.myspace.com/coolwight (http://www.myspace.com/coolwight), under the artist name of 7 Wheels.

The music is roughly in the nujazz vein, I suppose - funky, trippy, definitely electronic for the most part, with reggae influences here and there.
I have one track for free download, which you can get there or on Soundclick at http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplaye ... 25960&q=lo (http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=6325960&q=lo).
The point of interest of this track is that it was done entirely with Zebra CM, apart from the drums - hence the name, 'Funky Stripes'! I use Logic Pro. I did some programming for the track, to create things like the bass sound and the clavinet-ish 'chop' sound.

And a tiny bumpy....

Been working on a patch for 2 days, one of those patches where lots of random stuff happens when you press a key. So inspired by a certain video of a certain instrument playing 1 patch i thought i might as well give my bid on a 1 Patch Zebra thing. Everything you hear followed by a chord is random stuff, mainly random wavetables with various harmonics. I've added nothing, its just plain Zebra with its build in delay and reverb played live.

Style is kinda slow symphonic:

Hope it will inspire people to put in some subtle movement in patches. :)
