Does this mean ZebraHZ download links are updated as well officially? Or should we still email support?

Cheers
Nevermind. I just registered my account finally (never knew there was a login on your site) and downloaded the DarkZebra installer again. I see that it is indeed 254.

So favorites and junk are still not retained when browsing presets ZebraHZ after the update.

Couldn't get that to work? I thought that was something you fixed.

We tried, but that's not just a quick fix. It's because the database stores file paths, and the symbolic link adds another directory into each path of each preset. Coding a workaround needs another week or two of testing, like so many other things we didn't get to right now. We did however find it more important to release the essential bugfixes before Clemens and my vacation.

Cool. No big deal. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me.

I've seen that before in 2.5.2 and older, but I can't fix it quickly :-|

(this is part of why I'm eager to rewrite the Arp for Diva and Zebra3)
No worries. :) Good luck with the rewrite!

Problems here with Zebra 2.5.4. Seems to be controller related - I have cntrl 7 assigned to Zebra's output volume. 3 Zebras in the project, and the third instance crashes Cubase whenever I use an external controller to manipulate the output volume.

Tried this with Zebra 2.5.2 - it's fine.

Here's the Cubase Project, created with Cubase SX 3.1.1.4.

Of course, this might be user error. Can anyone confirm?

weird... Fritz will try that tomorrow...

I noticed that v 1.1.1 (rev 903) uses more CPU power than v 1.1.
Certain sounds I can't play anymore without glitches as soon as I release the keys on my keyboard. I estimate the increase at app. 10%.

Is this a known issue, Urs? Is there a change in sound quality in v 1.1.1 which causes the CPU raise?

I use Win7 64 bit on an i5-750 / 12 GB in Cubase 6.5.3 and SAVI host v 1.40.

:help:

Hmmm, that shouldn't be... I'll ask Clemens.

Rolled back to v 1.1 (rev 674) and everything is working smoothly again... :?

OK - I think I understand what's going on here -

Zebra 2.5.2
Send midi channel in Cubase/ Receives midi data in Zebra
1-16/ Yes
ALL/ Yes

Zebra 2.5.4
Send midi channel in Cubase/ Receives midi data in Zebra
1 & 2/ Yes
3/ Scaled by half, or crashes Cubase
4-16/ No
ALL/ Yes

Hope this makes sense...

Cheers

Fair enough - I'm fairly sure Cubase 6.5.1 handles virtual instruments differently to 3.1.1.4, not sure if that would make a difference. Should Zebra receive data on all midi channels? Also, it seems midiunlearn doesn't work in the latest version. :?: :!: Very weird!

Hello Kees49,

yes, we added some anti-bug checks into both Oscillator and LPF. They didn't cause too much of a cpu overhead on our system so I let it in - this might be a different thing on a different CPU. Also, I pushed the optimization level a little...

It would great if you could check wether this version here fixes your performance problems:

This version behaves better CPU wise, but I still got glitches when releasing the keys with a certain sound I like very much. It's a trance sound which uses Voices = 16, Stack = 6. The Asio performance meter shows 58.8% when I press two keys. When I release the keys, I here a glitch.
