Well I found some of the patches in the other categories to be pretty amazing, then that last category was quite underwhelming by comparison - but maybe I need to go back with fresh ears. I'll try again today

Personally I found the monster from the deep category to be a bit lackluster this time around. There were a couple of highlights in there for sure, but overall I didn't engage with many of them, and was my favourite category in the first contest.

For me, the pads and loop categories had the most impressive sounds this time. I still have to narrow down my votes for these.

The Modular Pluck

Riff Rocker - Great sounding lead and chorded electric guitar. Love the bend and harmonics with the mod wheel. Had great fun with this one!
Magnetic Harp - Expressive. Love the mod wheel aging the sound.
Inertia - Enjoyed banging out Faithless' Insomnia on the keyboard with this one whilst slowly opening the mod wheel.

Loops

BaziHills cop (120bpm) - Ha Ha! So clever with part 2 of the tune on the mod wheel and the harmonics on the pitch-wheel!
One Finger Trance - Excellent! Love pulsing the pitch bend on this one and playing a looped beat behind it.
Alien Murder Mystery - Nice loop and works well playing multiple octaves.

Difficult Dungeon

Ancient Bell - Bell strum, liked playing this softly. Nice ringing sound when you hit the keyboard though.
GoSellCrazy - Nuts! Like the variation when playing.
PrettyEvil - Yes it is! Like the long glides.

Monsters from the Deep

Banshees - Dark atmosphere to this sound. Great!
Nostromo - Plays well anywhere on the keyboard, very atmospheric.
Toy Wars - Who can't resist a good laser sound.

An Unexpected Beauty

Beyond Earth - Plays well in the higher registers. I got goosebumps playing this one!
amadh pad - I like the glide variations on this one depending on how you play. Reminds me a bit of the "Bronze" patch on my Novation Xio Synth.
Avalon Lagoon - Nice swells and robust thinness (if that's not a contradiction of terms).

The Modular Pluck:
!Pluck your Keys! - Lovely full-sounding acoustic pluck, especially in the lower keyboard range.
Haven - …and this one wins in the upper range, a fantastic buzzy banjo.
Inertia - I like the way the sound opens up as you move the mod wheel.

Loops:
Droplet Contact - Super-punchy drum loop/plumbing emergency.
One Finger Trance - Practically an entire track in a single patch!
Wauhaus - Very stylish.

Map Madness:
Map Bass&Kick 02 - I liked the authentic techno flavour here.
Map Drawbar - I thought the "drawbar maps" concept was very cool (wish I had thought of that!).
MM Gong CyberTemple - Exotic.

Monster from the Deep Ep. 2:
Bad Tripoline - Cool. It made me think of the 1980 Flash Gordon movie!
RubberBand - High tension effect?
sunny beach (170bpm) - Takes the "monster from the deep" thing -very- literally. Made me smile.

Electrabyss - Beautiful. The use of distortion is really effective.
Lake Awake - This one grew on me. It's very evocative.
Pacific Spray - Really immersive underwater sound. Although maybe on another planet…?
