You are incorrectMr D wrote:Hi folks,
Am i correct in thinking that mod wheel is hard-wired to VCF-1 cut-off?
And there's no way to remove it?

No, that would be ridiculous. Zebra is not ridiculous.
Check your "MIDI Table" in the configuration pages?

Ridiculous, but not unusual, many VSTis have hard-wired mappings like these.
I'll check the midi config when i'm back in the studio. Strange that it happens on the INIT preset though. Must be Cubase trying to be "helpful".

Not when they're synths that dont have a hard-wired structure, like Zebra.Mr D wrote:Ridiculous, but not unusual, many VSTis have hard-wired mappings like these.

The only MIDI assignment in the 'startup' patch of a clean install of MPowerSynth is multiple assignments of CC01 to the global gain. The Default patch has an additional handful of MIDI assignments (for each of Param 1-4 twice), but I dont think any of them are assigned to filter cutoff.Mr D wrote:MPowerSynth has hard-wired midi mappings like global volume, pan etc.
But all MIDI assignments can be reassigned completely, so no they're absolutely not hardwired.

Nope, there are a handful of hard-wired, non-removable mappings in MPowerSynth, see here:

So in MPowerSynth you wanted hardwired CCs removed, and in Zebra you want them added? Umm, okay.
