That's a High Sierra issue. Will be fixed in the next Hive update.

Shouldn't Apple fix it? - it seems to affect lots of apps

I thought you knew Apple's MO already.
Anyways, this is an APFS issue. https://indiestack.com/2017/09/unordere ... -contents/

I know - so 'fixing' it on a plugin by plugin level isn't really fixing it - it's just working around it. The bug is Apple's.

It's also the top news item on our website. I hope we can publish all updates within the next couple of months. Hive is definitely next on the list, after Satin.
That said, it's been the same on Linux. So on Linux we already fixed it in the Linux-specific code a while ago.

Actually no, this is how it also works on Unix/Linux. Applications are supposed to do their own sorting, from what I understand. So previously in HFS and so on, Apple had a horrid hack in order to supply ordered lists to apps, whereas with APFS they're fixing that horrid hack and making things more Unix-compliant (if that's a thing even). They won't be "un-fixing" it, devs will need to do it (as so many other times in the past).aMUSEd wrote:I know - so 'fixing' it on a plugin by plugin level isn't really fixing it - it's just working around it. I'm looking forward to the update.By the way, I used HIVE as my primary synth on a record a couple years back.
