Btw, years ago an old Symantec program that came with a laptop I bought, refused to uninstall itself completely, so I had to do a complete format and re-install. Maybe Symantec is the virus

btw, the problems seems to be very old, but a recent support request from a user tells me that they're still messing around.
To be clear, all our binaries, be it the installers or individual plugin files are certified by various third parties, on many levels. Symantec can easily verify the authenticity, as most OS's do anyway.

I even get sometimes false positives when I dare to use some inline assembler.
