Please try to delete the "debutfilter" entry in all three instances.
Easier, yet, delete the entire "UpperFilters" value all three times and then run this tool:

http://www.asio4all.com/A4ARegFix.exe - It will rebuild these entries.

Thanks, wuschel...I'm at work right now, I'll give it a shot when I get home.

Meanwhile - as a solution from NCH is not in sight - the new installer makes an attempt to completely fix this for you: http://www.asio4all.com/debug/ASIO4ALL_2_12_English.exe

"completely fix" = SoundTap/Debut audio capture should still work, afterwards!

Note: If it says: "Reboot" - you *must* reboot, for stuff to work as it should!

Thanks, wuschel!
Here's what I did:
I first ran the registry fix (and got a message like "No registry errors found").
I did not check the ASIO after that, but uninstalled ASIO and re-installed with the 2_12 version you just sent.
Reboot...and success!

Thanks again...I really appreciate the attention you've given to my problem.

... what a hack

After I had no serious luck with Asio4All since V1.8, I bought the Ploytec driver. When switching to W7 on my Notebook I googled a bit and detected the Fender Asio Driver which works perfect on all DAWs.

@ Michael (Wuschel)

Would you be so kind and explain why you don't suggest to prefer this driver? It seems to be under your development, because the surface looks the same. The only difference I see, there are no restrictions if a software-synth is installed. I'm just curious ...

Post

There is no technical difference between this, and ASIO4ALL 2.10.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Sorry, but there must be a difference, because with the Fender there's no restriction / blocking when a software-synth is running under W7. There's also a difference in the filesize.

By the way: The new version of your driver crashes without comment under all DAWs and under W7 and XP. Also the debug-driver you mentioned above.

Just for fun I installed the version 2.10 (the Fender is 2.10 too). That works. Amazing! :ud:

For being able to look into this, there is insufficient information. Obviously, there must be something "different" as far as your setup - it works just fine in other places.
