This year started really well with respect to electronic music. From all the new releases, I picked three fresh ones for tonight's show, which impressed me the one or the other way. Well, there are more great and stunning albums to be introduced in upcoming shows, but these three somehow rocked me recently. The first provides musical reflections of paintings by dutch masters. A very cool idea and an impressive result to my ears. Further a very fine release taking ones subconsciousness for a flight. And another space exploring work of extraordinary beauty. On tonight's show, meet Bruno Sanfilippo, Remy, Ron Boots, and Walter Roos.

Intelligent Dance Music, short IDM, is as difficult a genre to demarcate as many others in the electronic music domain. On tonight's episode, some quite diverse sounding tracks will be presented, showing only a fragment of it. The commonality is a tendency to experiment with electronic sound and style, but keeping the tracks still rhythmic and dancable. Have a lot of fun with tracks by Anshlavs, Clicks and Errors, Fidelium, Myrakaru, Nerv'OZ, Rewir3d, and :10:.

More new releases are up, and on this episode you will get three more outstanding albums, which just saw their light. Two rather ambient but not necessarily quiet albums from masters of the genre, and a third one that is by one of the most interesting progressive electronic musicians in my eyes, who is also up for creating something new with his Desert Island Music label. Have a good listen to wonderful and inspiring tracks by Marsen Jules Trio, John Praw, and Remy.

Seems the good news do not end, so here comes even more new stuff. The first is a current release from CandyRush-Music by Desa Systems. It's followed by a free netlabel release at MixGalaxy records by Th.e n.d. From the label Mille Plateaux we get a rediscovered treat by Ametsub. And finally, an extraordinary mix of tracks and loops and clicks and voices by the Electronic Attack collective.

Over the years, eventually, from roots have grown stems sometimes ending in leaves. Looking at electronic music, at some places we're surely somewhere in between stems and leaves, like for the broad area of Berlin School style music as offered by the SynGate Records music label. Tonight's show features this label and their forthcoming anniversary festival at Satzvey Castle on May 7th. Get into the mood with some excellent tracks by Detlef Keller, F.D.Project, Pete Farn, Stockman, TMA, and Vanderson.

It's great to see that quite some new events in electronic music were or will get born this year, trying not only to give a platform for presenting established artists, but also introducing a spiced mix of styles and sound and visual presentation to span a bridge between our beloved electronic music and the wider scenery. So I am happy to introduce some of these events, which will give us the opportunity to experience more electronic music. Of course, represented by tracks of one or more artists to be heard on these events, which are for tonight's show Bernhard Wöstheinrich, Geigertek, Leander Reinhinghaus, Richard lainhart, Stefan Erbe, and The American Dollar.

When reading about the earthquakes in Japan and the terrible effects, I did not really know what to do wrt. syndae podcast. It's always a bit difficult to handle such situations. Now I have the chance to not only express my sorrows about the incidents and sympathy for all the people in Japan, but make you aware of a project supporting the red cross's work over there. It's a benefit compilation with great music, so it's not only benefitiary for the red cross but also for anybody ordering a copy of this double album. Representatively, I present 8 of 27 tracks of the album "Electronic music for life" by Glenn, Harald Nies, MaEasy, moonbooter, René Splinter, Spyra & Roksana, Uwe Reckzeh, and Visible Breath.

New releases everywhere. Tonight, some not-so-traditional electronic music albums, which jumped into my ear and kept stuck long enough to make it on this episode. I'm really sorry to only have 30 minutes for tonight's show, but these are the rules wrt. the licenses I own. It's quite a mix of styles again, and I hope you enjoy the tracks as much as I did and do. On this show, you'll get to hear Antendex, Aruom, Complexystems, Ian Boddy & Parallel Worlds, Jazzcomputer.org and RamsayGee.

Currently, lots of fresh releases pop up, and tonight I have, again, three of those on my show, two of them being published right this weekend when you have the chance to listen to this podcast for the first time. And it's quite terrific material as well. So I invite you to take an electronic and progressive ride on this episode to enjoy tracks by Nattefrost, Picture Palace music, and Weldroid.

I endorse the times, when I come to rest and simply switch my mind into relaxation mode. Of coure, one never is alone and without thoughts, but hey. A nice companion are the sounds of the environment and surely ambient music. Tonight, I am delighted to have some very still tracks, well, occasionally disturbed by my voice, but I hope not too often. So I hope you can rest as well with music Apollonius & 33 Tetragammon, Nadim Haque, Spheruleus, and Stellardrone.

An episode I just needed after that week: quiet, relaxing, but not too slow so one falls asleep. And all the tracks come from recent album of 2011, showing again a small excerpt from all the cool new albums released this year. Would be great if you take the time and join me with tracks by Anima Infinity, Desa Systems, Devine Matrix, David Helpling & Jon Jenkins, Johan Agebjörn, and Robert Fox.

Back to some roots, I'd say, with this edition of syndae. Rather traditional electronic music on tonight's menu spanning various styles and in an extra large show, too. This is music that takes its time. Marvellous new and older tracks of highly recommended artists, including some free of charge albums as well. Tracks you will hear in a mix come from 23fish, Cyborg, Daniel & Booth, Dieter Werner, Kebu, and Mac of BIOnighT.

Extra large time again! Yet another in-one-go one hour episode this time packed with very chilling and dubby tracks. It must be the season's mood that makes me do XL episodes with less talking. Well, hope you enjoy tonight's show with a vast number of tracks by Authist, Bekeschus, Braun, Das Kraftfuttermischwerk & Bastai & P. Laoss, Dub From Atlantis, Dubsalon, Essáy, EugeneKha, Glander, Mildtape, Para, and The Marx Trukker.
