Baba Sehgal - Thanda Thanda Pani
This is a Hindi language cover of Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice baby". It doesn't matter if you don't understand the language, the lyrics don't make any sense anyway. It was bad enough that it was a cover of ice ice baby, but this guy really hit a new low with this song (like that was possible).

And I had such high hopes for this thread...I read it, only to have my hopes dashed and my worst fears confirmed. For a song to really qualify, it should have been a hit in some genre. There are so many horrible unknown songs that it could simply overwhelm this thread with bilge. Finally, the tune has to be so catchy that merely reading the title will get the song stuck in your head for days. There are extra points for one-hit-wonders, comeback attempts by has-been artists, and those that the artist simply should have known better. Paul Anka's "Having My Baby" is stellar in all respects. I would submit the follow:
"I Think I Love You" --The Partridge Family (Special consideration since it was a made-for-TV band)
"Macarena" --Los del Rio
"Indiana Wants Me" --R Dean Taylor (Extra points for sirens and police bullhorns)
"I Will Survive" --Gloria Gaynor (I know this is popular with women going through divorce or a break up, but it is just plain bad)
"Feelings" --Morris Albert (Mere words simply do not suffice)
"You Light Up My Life" --Debby Boone (Extra points for being the kid of one of the cheeziest artists ever)
"Mickey" --Toni Basil
"All I Need" --Jack Wagner (Actor trying to sing, need I say more?)
That's a start. I realize that only barely touched two decades, but there are so many bad songs and so little time.

This space has been unintentionally left blank.

Ah, now here's where we start to get differing opinions.JJBiener wrote:"Indiana Wants Me" --R Dean Taylor (Extra points for sirens and police bullhorns)

I actually think R Dean Taylor produced some pretty good songs and it was certainly one of the more off the wall things that came out of Motown. Don't see anything wrong with that song, and there are certainly far worse things to come out of Motown. Boyz II Men comes to mind...awful lite, watered down version of everything that was good on Motown
I Will Survive isn't that bad of a song. Very well sung and not alone in that break up/bad relationship strong female artist singing disco genre - plenty of others and this is not one of the worst.
No arguments with anything else on your list though

"Words is a 1982 romantic song by F. R. David, which sold 8 million copies worldwide and peaked at #2 on the British charts in spring of 1983. The song was originally released only in France and Monaco in the winter of 1981, later it was released in the rest of Europe; in 1983 it finally was released in America and the UK. It was a huge European hit, peaking at #1 in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Austria and Norway. It also went to #1 in South Africa in late 1982 and spent 25 weeks on the charts."
