Spiritos, that sounds like the Minilogue videos on the Ableton site -- there are three: a live jam, a gear rundown and this, which seems like the one you remembered:

My favourite one. I watch it from time to time, or parts of it, for inspiration. :D

Throw Down Your Heart, in which Bela Fleck journeys across Africa in search of the roots of the banjo, a descendent of African musical instruments. Just a wonderful film.

RUSH - Beyond the Lighted Stage

The best music documentary I've seen... by a mile... and then some... and then some more.

Europe in 8 Bits a fantastic documentary that brings up the Chiptune scene and philosophy.
It is doing the round of film festivals now but you can stream it for a small sum over Vimeo.
Not only do you get an insight into the Chiptune Scene and some lovely musicians working the genre but it is maybe the most inspiring music documentary I have seen and after having seen it I have ohh so slightly being introducing Chiptune sounds into my productions...

Another instrument-geek one: Mellodrama: The Mellotron Movie
And it is as it is and we take as we find / Always next season's buds on the bough / But I'll never find a better time / Hard though it is to allow / I'll never find a better time / To be alive than now

I just don't get why New Order is in that while pure synth acts like Howard Jones isn't? :?

When it comes to the New Wave period and early 80's music it seems like New Order/Joy Division is like ketchup for journalists, it must be poured over everything :help:
