No money, obviously. Eh, when was the last time you got paid?

Some say: I don't work for free and I bet you don't either.
Correction: I work for free all the time.

It would be good if you had a few bits of kit. I have the basics to get the job done.

The scene is this:
Great place for a few hundred people. Lovely surroundings/ambience. Up for it/open landlord - it's in a pub. So drinks are available.

No drugs.

Strictly No DRUGS!

As much as I would love to recreate the summer of love. There is a strict policy here. The landlord makes his money and pays his rent from people buying beer, not some muppet with dodgy pills. Plenty of time for all that. That ain't here.

I am looking for maybe 2 or 3 other people. If you have kit - bonus!. If you don't, and you are still good and prepared to play for nothing except a few beers and a good time - get in touch. PM me.

There are some other venues opening up too if this goes good. Which it probably won't. I imagine it will be a disaster. If we come out of it with what's left of our equipment and our digit fingers, it will have been a good night. I suspect it won't.

Oh, and somehow, we need to slip Vurt onto the bill, without anyone looking. It is best that way.

I am also looking into getting Bill Drummond from the KLF doing a bit of his 'soup kitchen bit', or even a '17' gig. There is an amateur choir of about 200 people going around town. Plus some mad bell ringers. I was thinking it might be quite good to get a '17' experience going here.

But, that is for later.

Do you play?
Do you have a bit of gear?
Do you have transport?
Do you mind sleeping on my mouldy floor?

Let's sort the men from the boys, and get a few of the girls along too!

Up for it?

Hell.

It could be the first KVR Kollektive Krak!

Those mouldy bugs will rue the day they were born.

Only about 20 people will show up, but it is better that way!

Have you checked to see what the Wurzels are up to these days? :hihi:

Alas, yes.

They are the first port of call for a bit of 'ooh aarrh'.

They were fully booked.

To be fair, I think my clientele are looking for a bit more sophistication than that.

They may be kidding themselves, but then again, booking the king of high brow that is Chris Randall would probably be wasted on them. There is only so far you can go.

They say you can't polish a turd, but you can dry it out, roll it around and sprinkle it in glitter. I haven't tried this personally, but it sounds good to me.

Anyway, are you in country? Can we get you a long for a quick set? The fabolous RoboJam and his amazing talking VST?

Maybe not. Perhaps you could just make the numbers up and get eaten by bugs on the couch? It would be good to have you along.

Tonight we have, the amazing Dr. Krand.

WTF says the crowd.

I'm on a loser here.

And that is kind of my point. No money will be made. Reputations will be lost.
A good time might be had. But there will be sore heads in the morning.

I don't think it's worth it. Do you?

No drugs? I'm out.
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Talk Talk was one great band, lot's of good tracks like Renee, Have you heard the news, etc.

Anyway, I love this old Eurythmics song, despite being quite melancholic...

Mark Hollis was rightly pissed about that little trick his record company pulled.

But I don't think that was why he threw his toys out of the pram and didn't want to play anymore.

He pretty much did everything he set out to do. I think he even exceeded his own expectations.

He started out as a media whore and progressed into a genuine artist. Most do it the other way around. He lived the dream. I see that the other members such as those from O.Rang don't want to comment. Cool. f**king best band ever.

Never mind 'bout the rest. It is quite pathetic to try even, really.
I was thinking about becoming a ScoutMaster.

Er, can't even do that these days.

Hear it in my spirit
I've seen heroin for myself
On the street so young laying wasted
Enough ain't it enough
Crippled world
I just can't bring myself to see it starting

Tell me how I fear it
I buy prejudice for my health
Is it worth so much when you taste it
Enough there ain't enough hidden hurt
A time for sell yourself
A time for passing
