Finished A Song? What Next?

I'm curious to know what you do after you finish a song. I'm sure it would depend on your goals and vary per individual but maybe we can learn from each other some good ways to promote the music that many, many hours have been spent on. I perused a book about music production careers and on the footnotes it mentioned one of biggest 'shortcomings' for a producer is not spending adequate time doing the necessary promoting and such. So aside from just uploading it onto soundcloud and posting the links in forums what do you do?

I start another song -- I just can't stop, it's like being addicted...
I know, I know... You're absolutely right about what you say in the last half of your post, and I also would like to know what others say about this (and that's the reason I decided to come into this thread )

I haven't really written songs for some time - most of what I have done has been instrumental, but I have been thinking of getting back to songs. Usually when I finish something I start thinking about lyrics and songs - just need to get off my butt and do something!
