14. Barely. Birthday in late May.
Ah, okay, had me worried there. That's alright then.

The CCM... uhm... the College-Conservatory in Cincinnati?

Post

Yeah, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music was my meaning. Actually the full name is Cincinnati College/Conservatory of Music, which signals that it was part of Cinci College before it was part of U of Cinci.

Speakin' o' Fred Frith, he is prof. of composition at Mills College Center for Contemporary Music which is 'CCM'. And which grew out of the Tape Music Center in SF.

I met Frith once, he swung by the house to borrow Innocenti's 50W Marshall for a gig; which was the amp I was using, having no amp except for my little Rockman at the time.

Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Rock Bottom and Tendaberry would be my 2 votes for best albums of the 20th century.
Well, you piqued my curiosity, and I just bought Rock Bottom. And although I remember seeing Laura Nyro's name all over record stores growing up, I never heard any of her albums, though unwittingly knew of her via, especially, Fifth Dimension's version of Wedding Bell Blues, which I always loved. Coincidentally, two months ago, our library system bought the "complete mono albums collection" (her first two albums), and I finally got to hear those two classics. I placed Tendaberry on the "recommend a selection" list shortly after that and lo and behold, it will be arriving shortly...
