haven't heard hs8's but my mate had hs80 and they were brilliant. after some time he added a sub and this was a killer setup. by the way he was into house.

Prodipe Pro Ribbon 8 or Sanson Ribbon 8: (almost) half price, (imho) better quality (for example front bass reflex give less position problems and less muddiness/boxyness in the lower/mid range help to traslate better the mix) and last but not least, a different freq crossover (+ definition)...
