I never make mistakes; I just blame others.

ROFL! "Not that there are any holes in the auditorium John."

There are always holes though, holes everywhere.

The Beatles. Jimmy Savile. Aleister Crowley. Etc ...
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Looks like Frank didn't perform it live, either...chose to light up a smoke instead and wave his arms around...

Really nice work. Impressive.

What's not to like about the Beatles? Ask the countless folks who have ever been inspired to cover one of their songs. That says it all, really.

off the top of my head:
Jeff Beck - Live at Ronnie Scott's - A Day in a Life
Joe Cocker - Little Help From my Friends
Jeff Healey - While my guitar Gently Weeps
Rufus Wainwright - Across the Universe (pretty close to the original, but better, imo...)

I never really cared for the Beatles during my youth, when most of them were alive. But when I was a kid, I never tried writing a song. Once I started trying my hand at songwriting, I realized how much just about everyone in popular music has built off of something that they and George Martin did. I now enjoy listening to them and learning from them quite a bit. I would actually call myself a fan now. No, I have probably not heard most of their work. I do credit Sir Paul with the worst Christmas song of all time. Sorry if that caused a terrible earworm for you, it does for me. Off to go listen to Tom Sawyer or something to clear the ear-worm.

I think a lot of people tend to get put off by Paul. He tends to go really trite if not tempered by Lennon. He's a great technical song writer, and probably the best instrumentalist in the band, but...Martha My Dear? Nice for children.

I've always been a Lennon, Harrison and Martin guy. (George Martin was definitely the 5th Beatle) I think nearly everything they wrote during the Beatles years was gold. I usually skip past most Paul dominant songs.

I Am The Walrus was the first Beatles song (actually, kind of the first real song of any kind) that I learned. It changed my world. I've never formed a band that didn't cover it.
