I really like your approach to drumming and your samples are absolutely top notch - is there any chance you would make a sample library available at 96K Samples/Sec?

thanks,
pj
Thanx!
Well I'm keeping the samples @ 48k-24bit to keep it small enough!
I want to make this samples ease to download.
I Don't have a great 8 channels A/D_D/A like Apogee Ensemble FireWire Digital Interface. . I would love to have the Apogee 8 channel preamp digital converter.
I have the NUENDO 96/24 wich is very good!

I want to keep it down in size.

Excellent sounding demos!
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

HEY "MAN" Sorry for the Delay! I've been sampling away! hehe!

Not Sure but maybe it will be less than 1GB.., maybe!
Right now I have:
KICK, SNARE, TOMS! for kit one!
Later I'm sampling more snare drums: 12X3.5 and 13X6
Snare articulations: on, off, rimshot, drop, ghost, flam, roll, side stick.

The cymbals are the hugs! and they will have lots of articulations! Let me not say it before they rip my ideas! hhehehe! Including a China this time.

I want to keep these drum kits small enough for download!

I would love to see this library in .sf2 format! Any chance of that happening?

If all goes well, God willing, the distributer or seller will handle the formats! They have asked me to inform them about the formats people are asking for! SF2 will be in the deal.

Official formats: SO far...HALion, Kontakt, SF2, and maybe Giga too!
I still have to decide wich company will sell this product and with God's favor wich I'm sure, I Will!! I have to read very careful the contracts and make the move.

I'm sure I'm no match for the other BIG libraries but the one I'm doing is from the heart and with drumming in mind! The articulations and layers are been sampled from a drummers feel. They will do the job. Having 50 layers of kick drum samples with insane decays is plane nonesense! It just clogs everything with unused samples.

My snare drums are well tuned so 50 or 100 layers of velocity will not be notices (they all sound the same) there's a point where the drum sounds the same unless you change the angle of strike! (More of that later) Can a 100 layer snare drum be done? yes but its just a waist of HD and time! I don't want to impress people by the size of the library but by the way they feel as they are played!

I have no fancy drum room with $3,000 mics.. Just a simple Home Studio with enough room to set up my drums and treated walls. So room mics, DTS, AC3 sampling is out of the question! hhehehe

No question about it DUDE!

Cheers... ! Sorry for any misspells

I really think you should suggest the SFZ format, and a mixture into Cakewalk's Dimension Pro Vsti Sampler...Those DPro cutstomers are dying for 3rd party addons...and a quality drum library would surely go over well. :)

I was going to suggest at least splitting the close and room mic's. That seems to be the main factor in discerning between the "big boys" and others. I REALLY think you did a great job on your last kit, I think judging by the samples here that there was a great deal of attention payed to all of the pieces, snare especially. The ghost notes make it particularly nice. I think there is a difference between volume scaling and 127 velocity layers, however. It really depends on how you're using it. Were these samples compressed at all?

DUDE, Vol 1 is AWESOME!
I just tried it in Kontakt 2 and it totally rocks the house. I'd really love to see "individual patches" however. This way I could layer my own kit with other samples (or your other drums).

And somebody needs to create a preset for Jamstix!

8) HEY GUYS!
I've been spending a lot of time with the family and will keep it up for an other month. I have one kit done! Now..., I'm looking for more Cymbals to sample!
I'm getting a 13" SABIAN PARAGON HiHat.
Also a 20 year old Large Constantinople Zildjian Cymbal set from a friend of mine! If it fits my Drums, great!

Also! hahaha I'm getting a AKG D112 kick mic

I've been looking for new stuff to sample to ad on! BUT, with the new EZ DRUMMER VST. I look like a fool in comparison! LOOKS and SOUNDs AWESOME...

I think I'm doomed! hehe
