Hi there - thought it was about time I offered another freebie.
The Expressive Tron features 4 tape banks from an original (un-serviced) Mellotron M400 - Flute, Strings, Cello and Male Choir.
The Original samples were taken 8 years ago (the first instrument I sampled), then recently re-recorded to more worn tape, and supplied in microtape plus format, which features a 16 step tape echo style sequencer
and fx section.
For Kontakt 5.2.1 or later (full verison needed).

These are not pristine mellotron samples - Martin at Streetly Electronics gave them a listen and commented on how badly the instrument would have needed a service - so I'm aiming for the other end of the spectrum with these - for those that really like the character of degraded sound. The microtapes also allow you to degrade the signal further, to taste.

Here's a quick video, running through most of the microtape plus features.

There are 5 patches per bank, and 5 multi patches.
Please visit http://www.tronsonic.com or http://www.sampleism.com/ for your free download - no need to register.

cheers,
Rob

Thanks for the thanks - really appreciate the positive comments too:)

Whilst I'm here, with this library, if you engage the degrader and adjust the pitch/amp etc, you can mimic an old tape delay unit using the echo sequencer, as the repeats of the sequencer react to the random way that the degrader behaves (as the sequencer is not a straight delay, but a midi delay) - so if you decrease the volume of each repeat too, it can be a pretty effective emulation (best with a shortish release on the envelope too of course).

Tronsonic did some brilliant stuff and was my way into the Kontakt-hole. What happened? Why did they stop developing things?
