So I downloaded this Kontakt instrument, and the midi channel is set to "omni + groups". I have no idea what that means, and it doesn't go away unless I select a specific midi channel. I've seen "+ groups" in multi output instruments under "outputs", but never under midi channel before, and Google isn't helping, so it must not be too common. Oh, and I should probably mention that even on omni, no sound is being produced. Anyone have any ideas?

It means that some groups internally have their own MIDI channel setting.

Wow, that was fast! Thanks, ED. I guess I should have thought of that. Oh well, fixed now. I wonder what the purpose of that would be? It's just a Rhodes, with sustain and release groups. What would be the advantage of having midi channels assigned by group?

The purpose of per-group MIDI input is probably mostly for drums and stuff like that.
