I samples these:
My ears are still ringing... Never again I will use it indoors.
It sounds like this, when put in a sampler:

There are raw wavs to grab and a crooked deal on Kontakt 4 installment.

Hee heeee! Amazing sounds and a great little demo track. Grabbed the sample pack (no Kontakt here) and it's surprising how harmonically rich these things can get. Many thanks for offering the sounds and suffering so we don't have to.

I guess, these need to be harmonically rich by design, to cut through the fog.

nice sounds and good demo writing. Apparently fog horns were used to generate echoes and the echoes used to navigate by. If you were trying to navigate a channel in the middle of a narrow entrance to a harbour, blast the fog horn and navigate to keep the echoes from each side to the same delay. I guess people learnt the different delay characteristics to guide them through different environments.

Real foghorns is fascinating subject. However, these gadgets have upfront clear indication of what are they made for.
What I find confusing, there is football field and a guy who is apparently playing volleyball.

they are a tool of domination - If anyone is tempted to leave volleyball practice early and go play football with their friends you hit them with a few blasts. They soon get back to practice.Zombie Queen wrote:Real foghorns is fascinating subject. However, these gadgets have upfront clear indication of what are they made for.
