EastWest Symphonic Choirs Gold is on sale for 80 euros at the moment, but you'll need an iLok.
Soundiron do Olympus Elements or $119, which uses the free Kontakt player.
They're both cut-down budget versions but EW Choirs comes with a word-builder, and Olympus comes with a phrase-builder so you can have more than just oooing and ahhing.
If you're rich, of course, you could get the full versions!

Just out of curiosity, as I didn't find this on the EWQL page:
Which mic position is Choirs Gold? Stage or Close? If it's close mic position, then it's actually very versatile for that price.

Just the Stage mics, unfortunately.Compyfox wrote:Just out of curiosity, as I didn't find this on the EWQL page:

But the ambience isn't overpowering and Gothic choirs are usually drenched with reverb anyway.

Meh, then I rather save the money. "Dry" (read: close) would have been great at this price though...

Oh, and there's also Bela D Media, who specialise a bit in choir/voice libraries.

Also, I wouldn't exactly call it "gothic" - it's more "angelic" IMO. I have the full EWQLSC and the Voices of the Apocalypse expansion, which sounds more gothic to me, but is an added cost (and, of course, also not a Kontakt library). Regardless, I think some of the other suggestions here for Kontakt libraries are better for that gothic choir sound, based on some of the demos I've heard.whyterabbyt wrote:and of course its not Kontakt, its their own proprietry Play engine.Ayorinde wrote:EastWest Symphonic Choirs Gold is on sale for 80 euros at the moment, but you'll need an iLok.
