Mega Steinway is a collection of 8 great pianos which has significant position in steinway’s history. They represent the famous “Steinway singing tone” that many musicians are familiar with. During 3 years development, we use modeling technology to make it true. There were many big obstacles we once faced, such as cannot fully sample 88 keys due to instrument condition. After we overcome them, we successfully capture their harmonics (pianos has 15 harmonics) and dynamic. And based on this valuable information, we build mathematic model for each piano, then use hybrid modeling technology to shape the timbre and dynamic best fit to the model. And finally we represent you Mega Steinway, a piano collection tribute to Steinway.
With this most comprehensive and details piano collection, you will have a feel that you are experiencing the history of Steinway pianos’ development and know better about the true meaning of Steinway sound. You will clearly hear the improved dynamic from 19th century to the beginning of 21st century. And also you will find out how the timbre changes through 160 years. This special collection will help you and inspire you more on your music. You may be able to add your unique “Steinway singing tone” in your music through this collection. Experience Steinway’s history, make your history!

Anyone use this or any of the prior piano offerings. Looks very interesting and the sound demos are pretty good, but the price is high to go in blindly. Great to hear from other members what they think of this new collection.

I was wondering that as well. You can try a Yamaha from them for free to get some idea of the general sound of their 'engine'

Its very nice for free, but doesn't touch Pianoteq IMO and I got the stage version of that for 100 bucks.
