Isn't it prohibited to share those without crediting or permission?Michael L wrote:A quick Google search of the file names shows they are the sfz files of free drumkits posted online by various people

i use them to make some jamming backing tracks. I use sforzando so i made its version for me to use them easier. Who knows any other find them useful, so i put and share it on dropbox.
if any of those sample library original authors want me to to remove them, or like it and want to put it on your site, just please let me know

Some people might see writing a text file that describes a way you personally choose to use a set of samples that you acknowledge are provided by someone else and available from somewhere else as a "derivative work". I think they'd be clutching at straws, myself. However, I've always made sure I've had positive confirmation from sample producers before releasing mappings I've produced just to play it safe, as there are some strange people around. I guess you'd have to be really very odd to try to sue for damages from IP infringement for freely available mappings of freely available samples... (It does depend on the wording of the original licence to use the samples freely -- i.e. how "free" is that?)

yeah, that should be stated clearer when a sample dev release a library free as sfz is really easy to create and a free format.
and it's really rare seeing free sforzando-dedicated SFZ insteuments, one looks nice is DS smolken's new archtop, congrats bro!
