Hi there

I'm working on some music for an ad, and the reference track is the album version of Run The World (Girls) by Beyonce... which has quite a lot of snare drum roll action towards the beginning. It sounds like a kit snare rather than a marching band.

Does anyone know any acoustic kit sample libraries with good roll articulations? I've got NI Abbey Road 60s and Studio Drummer, but I've got a feeling they're going to sound repetitive too quickly.

Spitfire has a free (or donateware) called Ollie Walton Drums in its Labs section.

And CineSamples offers a free Military Snare.
