What are some of the better ones out there?

I have Orbit (wicked but expensive)m Atom Hub The Planet (awesome) and a couple of the Rigid Audio libraries (solid value for money when they were much cheaper).

Mainly looking for pads, textures, soundbeds and atmospheric stuff to build upon and support my ideas - not so much fully realised melodic sequences or movie trailer "impacts" etc.

Any other recommendations?

Thank you! I was just checking out Vocal Scapes myself actually. Definitely has my interest.

A couple of underrated libs that sound great and might be what you're after.

Thank you very much everyone for your suggestions. I am going through each carefully.

Loving the sound of this:

And this (not droney ambient but quite lush strings):

And on sale (might be a bit too movie-trailer-ish for me):

Personally quite positively surprised by those amazing Output libraries, such as Signal and Exhale (www.output.com) at $199 each.

You need to limit that rez, bro.

Take any sound. Run it through Paulstretch. Load the results into Kontakt. Add a slow envelope attack and release, and a delay and reverb.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

There is lots of reasonably priced stuff from different developers on http://www.sampleism.com

Here's a couple of my own more ambient ones:

Nostromo, the sound of the USCSS spaceship Nostromo (£4.00). Soundcloud demo here

Very Large Array: the sound of a real radio-telescope tracking a quasar across the sky (£4.00) Soundcloud demo here

A Shepard tone (£3.50). Soundcloud demo here

Not sure I'd classify $200 as budget, unless you're Donald Trump or Bill Gates I suppose.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

As always, a recommendation for SubsonicArtz Ethereal :)

Also the older, cinematic Zero-G libraries are on sale a lot for around $30-$40 if you pay attention.
Libraries like Dark Skies, Alien Skies, Perception, Haunted Ground and Altered States have tons of ambient background material.

unEarthed Sampling also has some great sounding affordable little libraries.

Love all those SoundEthers libraries as well!

My Multiverse releases provide an advanced synth script for making Pads, you can randomize the waves to come up with unique sounds very easily. They all share the same scripts but use different sample collections.

There is also a freebie available and there is a 40% off all products voucher at the moment ( SUMMER40 )
