Korg Elelctribe Sampler vs. Korg Microsampler

I'd like to get some insight on using these samplers (possibly from someone who used both before), since I'm probably buying one or the other. I'd like a simple sampler for drums (MIDI triggered) and occasional one-shots (manually triggered). Maybe some live sampling - looping.

Is the new ES worth the extra money? I could get a second hand MS for half the price of a new ES. Feature-wise the MS would be OK for me - as I've read boards recently, fellows seems to be raving about how cool and underrated the MS is. Watched some YT videos, I like the way it works.

On the other hand the ES should be more convenient and hand-on (I suppose), and the MS effect section is not exactly clear to me - as far as I understand, I can't apply a delay on one sample, while I have a reverb on an other sample. (at least not without resampling) Is this correct? It would be important for me to be able to apply different types of FXs on different samples.

One more - How would an MPC500 compare?
