Wow, very convincing. Except for that double-string bend (:24), which is borderline: bending two strings at the same rate is near impossible! You might split one of those note out to a different track and player instance with its own pitch wheel data. Or you could hit the two strings a fret or two below and simulate sliding the fingers up by programming the mod wheel data to do a stair-step up for each fret, tuned to semitones.
Can't fault the sounds though: just the native SF2 limitations.

Yeah, at the same rate it's really tough. Usually the higher string doesn't get bent as much as the lower string (the way I do it, at least). If I had more time with the demo I'd do the separate track idea, yes.Markleford wrote:Wow, very convincing. Spartanburg, South Carolina. I posted in your forum before asking you about your music production and what you use since the music in the games is great. I found you guys from the Underdogs website and loved Apprentice 1.
You guys here should check it out too.
Kudos on the second one, BTW.

Yeah, if anyone's interested in a free adventure game with my music check out: http://herculeaneffort.adventuredevelopers.comJoseph Burrell wrote: You guys here should check it out too.

(although I will say I'm much more proud of the music in Apprentice 2 -- the music in Apprentice 1 isn't well, my best)
This soundfont is free because I like free soundfonts, and I'm sure you guys do, too. Also, I'm too lazy to figure out the legal issues with selling it, packaging and postage, and currency issues. So I made it easy.

Okay, it's up on my soundclick site. You can tell (a) I need a lot more drumming practice and (b) it's rough...pljones wrote:This coming weekend, I might mixdown the riff I knocked up to practice drumming to...

Latest demo of the second version of the Guitar kit:
http://herculeaneffort.adventuredevelop ... lldemo.mp3
I haven't put the slides in the smooth lead guitar yet, but I think I'll upload it anyways (maybe Spe3D can mirror it again for me, too), because as of now it's just sitting around. Yes, sitting around when you guys could be making beautiful music with it.
I'm starting the upload now.
