DIY SSD experimenters beware!

Hi everyone...

Heard back from a few customers that they are experimenting with cloning their system drives over to the Samsung 840 EVO SSD drives. We have tested the EVO drives here at Muse, and we have concluded that they are NOT suitable for use in Receptor. Those drives are great in a laptop or whatever, but they have not been approved for use with Receptor, so don't waste your money if you were hoping to do this.

The only drives currently certified for use in Receptor are the 840 PRO series. We are also evaluating the 850 PRO series, which just came out, as well as their new data-center drives, and although these are not yet officially approved for use with Receptor, those drives look really promising.

And of course we have to be prudent and say that you are on your own in terms of technical support if you mess with your system drive, and modifying your Receptor nullifies the warranty during the warranty period, but you probably knew that already, didn't you?
