CLASSIC 2 Front Panel Knobs

Are the 4 display screen front panel knobs (no longer included on latest models) assignable while in RACK mode or do they only function in the older MIXER mode?

Only work in mixer mode.

Thanks. That's a shame... sometimes I use my receptor just for guitar without any midi controller and could really use those knobs.
