Dear Users --
Please help.
Does ZynAddSubFx use Asio4all drivers?
Please advise.
I have installed the latest, stand-alone version of ZynAddSubFx on Windows 7.
(Not sure what that version is called-- but it is the EXE version that I can just launch from my desktop and use without other configuration.)
I have installed the latest Asio4all.
So, is ZynAddSubFx using Asio4all or not?
Is there a way to check?
Is there a way to set it so that ZynAddSubFx does use the Asio4all drivers?
Please advise.
Thanks.

There isn't really a 'latest' .exe version (the newest standalone builds are as of 2008 - sonicports).
As far as I know, those don't really support ASIO well. If you need to use as standalone I recommend to use SAVIHost to wrap VST version 496beta.
Also, if you don't have dedicated ASIO drivers, you have to be pretty careful with the ASIO buffer and Zyn's buffer sizes. There should be some hints in the VST docu.
Try to match the real ASIO size with the internal buffer size parameter (in Zyn Settings window)
See if it works with 512. If that's not fast enough, try 256, but I wouldn't go lower. Also don't go for high sampling rates (44.1kHz should suffice).
Turn off anything that would worsen the DPC latency (wireless adapter, camera,...)
