Hi

I’ve been struggling with preset recall on PatchWork but doesn't respond to program change messages after of send MSB/LSB, unless the interface windows is open (it don’t need to be front-most though).

If I send a program change message to the presets that I have on the Preset's root, its works fine.
But I have others that are on banks (folders), and for recall them, I use msb/lsb and a program change messages. Example:

For Bank #2, Preset 00 (002/000):

(MSB) CC0, value=0
(LSB) CC32, value=2
PC, value=0

And it works as long as I have the PW window interface open...
Any idea why it happens?

Hi,

This is indeed a limitation due to many third party plug-ins that require the user interface to be opened to be properly loaded, as explained in the manual:
MIDI Preset Loading

Starting with v1.63, it is possible to load effects chains as presets using MIDI (with Bank Select and Program Change messages). It is however necessary that the user interface of the PatchWork plug-in remains open for the presets to be actually loaded, because of limitations of many third party VST plug-ins.
If this limitation is removed, many plug-ins will just crash, unfortunately.
