But I doubt they will be releasing it at 00.00 CET (Fabfilter being from Amsterdam). More likely about 22 hours from now, that would be 12.00 their time.

It will be parallel (well, that's a very definite statement, but I'm 99.9% sure)

Yes it will be parallel and v2 can read v1 presets (although sound might change a little due to the different sound engines)

Upgrading to Pro-Q 2
Upgrading from Pro-Q version 1 to the new Pro-Q 2 is safe and easy: installing Pro-Q 2 will not replace or delete the previous Pro-Q 1 plug-in. Both versions will co-exist and can both be used at the same time. This ensures that you can open old songs that use Pro-Q 1 without problems! Boys, it's just an aural babe... yea, she's got the looks and has a pretty (inter)face but in weeks time (maybe even before) you'd be drooling over some other plug.
