Can't get Sonar 8.5 to recognize Amplitube 3

Amplitube is not run in standalone when recording in Sonar

Amplitube must reside in the FX bin and your guitar signal comes into Sonar via the audio track.

You shove your guitar into your soundcard - let's say Input 1
On an audio track in Sonar there will be a drop down list for Inputs.
For Input 1/2 it will have Left, Right and Stereo.
Left and Stereo should work. The signal power is set via the soundcard - not Sonar - so the signal is as powerful or as weak as you set it outside of Sonar.
