Shhhh-shhhh-shhhhhh, tsk-tsk-tsk, garble-garble-garble, booOOMMMMMmmmmmfffff, shhhh-shhh-shhhh, TSK!

Look, a much-improved-but-sonically-the-same spinoff of Reason's Dr. Rex filter!

Especially the shhhh-shhhhhushing sounds hideous to this pair of ears. It actually drowns out the audio it's supposed to filter! And it doesn't sound like resonance but like pink noise! I know this is a trademark sound in some sub-styles of DNB but.............

that's the result of filtering, dummy. and this is a demonstration of the sequencer functionality, not an attempt to appeal to your specific personal aesthetic.

The step sequencer vid is brutally pushing the filter, done with no oversampling, and on a full spectrum dance track. I deliberately generate noise in sections, and in most of it the mp3 encoding of the video also can't keep up since the signal has such huge bandwidth that it can't contain :D This is a badge of honour for me, to push a track so hard without oversampling and still sound musical, I don't expect everyone to like it.

Step sequencer looks really great, and seems quite user friendly. I'm liking the new UI a lot more too. Can't wait to get my hands on it :)

Any chance of a full res anti aliased oscillator section?? Just kidding - though I may sell my monosynths if that were to happen...

Wonderful, Epic, Great stuff, are some of the words that pop into my mind. This sequencer is marvellous and the flexible shapes (like in DCAM), <oh_sigh> are great to have as a bonus! Hope to and surely will enjoy this a lot when it is ready. Thanks Andy!

Awesome stuff! I think it's getting better and better!
I also saw a pattern selection! This is so awesome! I'm one happy Drop owner now! Can't wait until this comes out.

Oh and if you think this thing sounds anything like Reasons filters.. i suggest you go get your ears checked.

Having subtly variable LFO shapes are invaluable for filter sweeps. Have you ever noticed how different a sweep can sound depending on which frequencies you catch in the resonance between point A and point B?

It does sound slushy on high range frequency content (hihats, openhats, general high freqs) but that might be due to the Resonance being turned up quite a bit. On the less high frequency content, I don't hear the slushyness nearly as much.. sounds a lot smoother and defined to me.

The filters in Zeta+ behaved similarly.. that sound is a love/hate thing I think.

Fantastic job with the step sequencer. Loads of possibilities :D
I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies.
